Small Update for 10/16/12

Yup it's a small update this time.  It's taken me this long with 3 tries to get the dormer window stitched, but it is FINALLY correct and I can move on.  The diagonal 1/4 stitches in white around the roof line are what got me all confused.  I have never done diagonal 1/4 stitches before and hope I never have to again, tho I know I will one day.  Let's just hope not for a lil bit so I can recover from doing this set.  But it's done and I can move onto the roof of the big white house.  Yay!  Here are the pics!!

Row 2, Page 1 of 2 over 2 done!

Just finished my last few stitches of Row 2 on Page 1.  I need to set my stitching aside for a lil bit and get some other things done but wanted to update you on this project.  The 2 over 2 stitching I'm doing seems to be going sooo much faster than over 1 stitching.  I'm really liking it!  I have been slowly working on putting my thread onto numbered plastic bobbins.  You guys all know how much I hate this part of stitching.  I just want to stitch and not deal with all of the prep work, but boy do I need to do it.  Probably have every color of the DMC thread 3 times over.  Won't find out till I get it organized.  Anyway here is the update pictures.

Well, I have good news and I have bad news.  I'll start with the bad news.  I left this project in my car and had my sunroof open and the project got wet.  It was okay but my needle rusted and left a big old rust spot on the 18 ct fabric.  So I have scrapped that project.  I was sooo upset because I was so far.  However, as of yesterday I restarted the project and that's the good news.  This time, however, I am doing it on 28 ct fabric.  The great news is that I am doing it 2 over 2 (2x2 as i call it) and it is going soooo well.  In addiction to a bunch of other things I managed to stitch 1000+ stitches today on 'Good Neighbors'.  I now have row 1 on page 1 done and I just started it about 11 am.  So I had to take pics and post them to show my progress.  I am really liking the 2x2 stitching, it looks so neat!  I didn't have internet for awhile at home so sorry for the lack of updates but I'm back and have been stitching like crazy!  Here are the project pics for the 28 ct fabric.  Hope you like!

Row 4 is done!!

Well it's been a loooong time since I've work on this project but I have picked up this project again and have been just stitching away!!  I got all of Row 4 done!!  It's looking great.  I have more of the bigger house on the left done.  I even have windows on that house or the start of them anyway!  I have also started the roof of the smaller house, on the right.  I have stitched more flowers and bushes along the right hand side and the side of the house on the far right.  I hope to get a little bit more done by starting Row 5! Stay tuned for more pics but in the mean time here are the update pictures I just took...

Row 3 is DONE!!

I've been a busy little bee!!  Between stitching, the kids, moving and more I have actually finished Row 3!!  I also want to say thanks to two more people...with more to come...

First to my partner in crime, Sherry...no body understands the joy of stitching and flylady like you.  I love knowing that I'm stitching with you in spirit!

To Kristen...what can't I say.  You don't stitch but yet every time I hit a mile stone you are right there cheering me on.

I appreciate yours ladies words more than you could possibly know!  Between you two and ette I will be stitching until I'm old and gray!  Love my stitching-sister (Sherry) and my flysister (Kristen)!!



Progress as of October 4, 2011

Well I've been a busy little bee!  Here you go!  I actually have a roof!  These are just for you ette!  Thank you for taking the time to check my blog each time I post.  You are part of my motivation girly!

Row 2 is finished!!

I haven't updated in a while.  I was going along at a good clip, then my stitchy bug sorta disappeared.  Well it's back with avengence.  I have finished row 2 as of late last nite and have started row 3!  Here's the updated pics...
